Job Title:  VP of Program Management and Integration Services

Department:  R&D
Reporting to:  CTO

Location:  Baltimore, MD is preferred.  Remote applicants may be considered.

Hours of work: Typical hours of work are from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM local time Monday through Friday. Flexibility of Working Hours dependent on location. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This position is exempt from overtime.

Compensation: $180,000 - $200,000 annually plus up to 20% annual salary as bonus.  Management equity grants for this position will be determined by the President & CEO.

Overview:
The VP of Program Management and Integration Services will lead the Data Integrations team and oversee strategic project management initiatives for Donation & Transplant Management and DNA & Forensics business units. This role will play a key part in defining processes within data integrations and ensuring alignment between project management efforts and the company’s long-term objectives. The role offers growth potential as the company scales.


Essential Functions:


Data Integrations Team Management

  • Define and lead the Data Integrations team, focusing on areas such as custom data work and implementation support.
  • Drive performance management for the team, including recruitment, coaching, and evaluations, ensuring that team responsibilities are well-defined and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design, implement, and maintain management of team reporting metrics focusing on work throughput, quality, and timeliness

Strategic Program Management
  • Take ownership of strategic program management, including road mapping, progress reporting, release planning, and implementation management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and formalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), such as release / implementation processes.
  • Participate in management meetings to ensure alignment across departments and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
  • Join key customer and project calls to oversee overall project progress and deliverables, delegating more technical discussions to the appropriate teams as needed.
Reporting and Ticketing
  • Act as an Administrator for the Atlassian product suite. This will include building workflow into the ticket system, defining best practices with tools like Confluence and building reportable metrics that are reusable.
  • Guide the alignment of internal projects, such as the consolidation of legacy ticketing systems to Jira and existing processes
  • Develop tools to provide clear visibility into team performance, project progress, and key other key milestones for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate team-level metrics identify areas for improvement including increased throughput, and work quality. Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including data on project timelines, resource allocation, and issue tracking. Focus is on team-level metrics - Individual-level evaluations will be delegated to managers.
  • Create and maintain reports that fulfill external obligations, such as billing for ancillary services and investor-required data (e.g., security results, operational efficiency metrics).
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Client Services, Product Management, and Engineering to manage project planning, Releases, Statements of Work (SOW), and escalated project tasks requiring program management oversight.
  • Facilitate administrative tasks like assisting with scheduling and coordinating cross-team meetings, ensuring alignment across departments and efficient collaboration on shared initiatives.
  • Maintain a focus on project management without direct involvement in technical execution, which includes engineer management, code (creation / throughput / security / quality / reviews / branching), developer documentation, triage, and other general technical escalations.
Cross-Divisional Collaboration
  • Create a good working relationship with peer departments within InVita. Collaborate on best practices within the company. 
  • Collaborate closely with all of InVita to standardize process, reporting, and metrics to assist InVita with its goal to become one company.
Growth Potential
  • Initial Focus: The role will initially focus on the DNA & Forensics business unit, leading project management and data integration efforts.
  • Future Focus: Donation & Transplant Management business unit.
